Charity Details

Homerton Baptist Church is an Independent Grace Baptist Church.  As such we are not a denomination and so are self-governing.

Homerton Baptist Church is registered as a Place of Worship and entitled to Charity Status, as a Recognised Charity, and is entitled to any benefits from holding such status.  The church is registered to accept income under the Gift Aid Scheme.  The church is an associated member of the Association of Grace Baptist Churches (South-East).

Under United Kingdom law Christian Churches are automatically recognised as a charity and therefore do not need to become a Registered Charity.  Churches do however have to register if they reach the Audit Threshold of £250,000.
